Paperwrist for iPhone and Apple Watch is already on the App Store. This page is for the Android and Wear OS side, still in closed testing on Google Play. If you wear a Wear OS watch, you are exactly who this needs, and early testers shape what the release looks like.

Opens the Google Group. Join with the same Google account you use on the Play Store.

  1. Join the Google Group below, using the same Google account you use on the Play Store.
  2. Wait for the membership to be approved, then open the opt-in link posted in the group.
  3. Install from Play on your phone. The Wear OS app follows to your paired watch.
  4. Found something? Reply in the group so other testers see it, or email us directly.

Needs Android 8 and Wear OS 3 or later. If you join with a different account than the one signed in to Play, the opt-in link will not work. This is the single most common problem.

What we are actually asking for

Use it the way you would use it for real, then tell us where it got in your way. That is worth far more than a bug list.

  • Which watch and phone you are on. Model and OS version. Half of all reports are resolved by that line alone.
  • What you tried to read. A 200-page PDF and a 3-line shopping list stress completely different parts of the app.
  • Where it was slow, confusing or wrong, even if you are not sure it is a bug. Especially then.
  • What you expected instead. The gap between the two is usually the actual design problem.

What testing does not change

Beta builds handle your files exactly as the released app does: there is no Paperwrist account, no analytics and no crash-reporting SDK. Your files stay on your phone and your watch, unless you connect Notion yourself. The privacy policy applies unchanged to the beta.

Google knows you are on the closed track. That is all it knows: no access to your documents, nothing beyond aggregate counts.

Testers keep whatever they unlock. If you buy Pro during the beta, it stays bought.
