/* Paperwrist — self-hosted brand font.
 *
 * Inter (SIL Open Font License 1.1), variable weight 400–700, served from
 * this domain. NOT from Google Fonts: a webfont request to a third party
 * hands them the visitor's IP address and the page they were on, which
 * the privacy policy explicitly promises does not happen. It is also
 * what lets the CSP keep `font-src 'self'` with no external origin.
 *
 * Why Inter, and why it replaced Bricolage Grotesque (Aug 2026):
 * • Bricolage is a display face with a lot of personality. For a
 * product whose entire pitch is "distraction-free reading", the
 * typography arguing with the copy was the wrong note.
 * • Inter is designed for UI at small sizes, which is what most of
 * this site is. It also sits first in a `ui-sans-serif, system-ui`
 * stack, so a visitor whose system font is SF Pro or Segoe UI gets a
 * near-identical shape with zero download.
 * • It covers Cyrillic. Bricolage did not, so Russian fell back to the
 * system stack and looked like a different site.
 *
 * ONE variable file per subset covers 400–700. The browser downloads a
 * face only when text in its unicode-range is actually rendered, so an
 * English page fetches `latin` and nothing else, a Russian page fetches
 * `cyrillic` + `latin` (Latin brand names), and the italic files are
 * fetched only by pages that contain an <em>.
 *
 * Japanese, Korean and Simplified Chinese are deliberately NOT covered.
 * Those subsets are several megabytes and every one of those platforms
 * ships an excellent system face; `unicode-range` means the browser
 * simply never asks for a file it cannot use, and that text falls
 * through to `system-ui` in the --pw-font stack.
 *
 * font-display: swap — text is readable immediately in the fallback and
 * reflows once, rather than being invisible while the font loads.
 *
 * To update: re-run the css2 API for `Inter:ital,wght@0,400..700;1,400..700`,
 * keep the latin / latin-ext / cyrillic / cyrillic-ext blocks, download
 * each woff2 to assets/fonts/ and copy its unicode-range across verbatim
 * — the ranges are what make the subsetting work.
